Blanco is a historical town located an hour from both Austin and San Antonio. Blanco is known for its natural beauty of forests and rivers and is also known as the Lavender Capital of Texas.  Some of the major attractions in and around Blanco include Historic Blanco Town Square, Lavender Festival & Farms, Old Blanco Courthouse, Real Ale Brewing Company and, of course, Blanco State Park. Throughout the year you’ll find events such as the Lavender Festival, Blanco Classic Car Show, Real Ale Bike  Ride and Heritage Day. Other close tourist destinations around Blanco include Wimberly and Dripping Springs, home to small town restaurants, vineyards, and lazy rivers.
